Assa Matusse, known as the “Girl from the Neighbourhood” in Mozambique, is a singer and composer of traditional Mozambican rhythms. She fuses these sounds harmoniously with modern genres such as pop and jazz. Singing in several languages, she expresses her unique musicality. Socially committed, she fights for access to education for girls, promoting urban safety so that they can study freely, day and night.
