WILD WILD WOMEN (WWW) is India’s first all-female hip-hop collective, a revolutionary, multi-disciplinary ensemble hailing from Mumbai. Founded in 2021 by rappers Krantinaari (Ashwini Hiremath), HashtagPreeti (Preeti N Sutar), MC Mahila (Shruti Raut), JQueen (Jacquilin Lucas), and Pratika (Pratika E. Prabhune), the collective is celebrated for flipping the script on the male-dominated Indian hip-hop scene.
Their sound is a powerful fusion of English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Kannada lyrics, tackling themes from women’s empowerment and mental health to challenging patriarchy and social biases. Known for their electrifying, unapologetic live shows – often featuring B-girls, a graffiti artist, and a skateboarder – Wild Wild Women is a vital force, having quickly amassed a strong following, performed across India’s biggest stages, and recently made their international debut in Germany. They are more than a band; they are a movement.
